Summer tours are offered to two sites via hiking trails: the Cabin Pool-Flatbed Creek Dinosaur Tracks and the Wolverine River Dinosaur Tracks Lantern Tour.
Due to COVID-19, all tours must be booked in advance and are available on a first come first served basis. Tours will be limited to participants from a single household. We will not be offering tours to schools, clubs, or other large groups this summer. Book online by clicking on the button at the bottom of this page. If a preferred time is not available, please call, we occasionally have cancellations that are not always reflected on the calendar.
The Cabin Pool Dinosaur Tracks Tour begins with a short hike to Flatbed Creek where you'll see dozens of dinosaur footprints close to the original ankylosaur trackway discovery. Departure times are 10 am and 1 pm.
The Wolverine River Dinosaur Tracks Lantern Tour is a unique science tourism experience! Visitors are guided to see the shallow dinosaur tracks at night via lantern light, which casts dramatic shadows to make the dinosaur tracks POP. The tour departs the museum at 8 pm Thursday to Monday, July 8th - August 28th. This is a mandatory hardhat tour (supplied and thoroughly cleaned and disinfected after each use), and is not recommended for children under six years of age.
